Khushi is adopted by Shashi and Garima. Payal their daughter. They get along very well. Arnav, Lavanya, Anjali, Akash and Shyam are all friends.  They have been friends with Payal as they all move in same circles. Khushi and Arnav strike an odd acquaintance. She finds it hard to fit in with Payal's group as they have all been friends for longer and Khushi's own personal inhibitions and short comings stop her from opening up. Before start of final year of college, she finds herself more and more alienated from her sister as her sister grows closer to Akash and Lavanya. He is Akash's cousin, Anjali's brother.  He adores Lavanya and supports her

Khushi finds herself with lot of time on her hands and takes up driving around the town, visiting old monuments that no one visits anymore. She befriends and aging archaeologist who in search for history and takes up his offer to be his assistant for the summer.
